i just finished doing this, replacing the lens and gasket. i had trouble until i used a scratch awl to lever the clips into place. i placed the clip first on the glass lens, starting on the bottom middle one, pushed the lens against the gasket, and then used the awl to lever the clip against the plastic housing. worked much easier than i thought. total time 20 minutes with the headlight housing out of the car.
