This is my cam of choice, even with a stick shift. I prefer to have a little
power on tap even when I'm loafing along at 2000 rpm in high gear - I
tried the Street Performance cam, and in my opinion the smooth, wide
torque curve of this cam trumps the nice top end of the Performance.
Either is a clear improvement over stock. This one combines well with a
big-bore kit. High-end power is very good up to 5000 rpm, and usable all
the way to 6000, but the real joy zone is down around 3000-3500 rpm,
where you'll really use it. If you've got a street-driven car and you care
more about mid-range pull than top-end screaming power, this is
probably your cam of choice.
