Radiator Caps

When replacing a faulty radiator keep in mind the stress put on the other heating/cooling components. The radiator caps have a pressure rating and it is important to match the correct cap with the radiator.

These low-pressure caps are hard to find, and sometimes you may come upon an old 1800 or Amazon that has been (wrongly) fitted with a modern 15lb cap - this can cause the cooling system to develop overly-high pressure...not good.
It's great IPD stocks stuff like this cap...a complete odd-ball part that only a few thousand people worldwide would even need.
As for the cap itself - what can you say? It fits and it works.
Note that some older caps have the pressure indicated in kilopascals (kPA) rather than psi. 1 PSI = approximately 6.98 kPA
