Radiator ipd is now proud to offer new, factory style radiators for the 122 models. Manufactured to OE specifications in Germany, this radiator will install easily and add a fresh look to your engine bay. When changing your radiator, ipd recommends replacing the associated hoses, clamps and thermostat and performing a cooling system flush to ensure reliable cooling system performance, and prevent any chance of transferring sediment to your new radiator. Please check fitment listed below to ensure products will fit your specific vehicle. Some products may include or exclude some model years or engine and transmission combinations. The products listed on our website are for Volvos sold in the North American market. Many of the parts are exactly the same as those used in other markets, however we cannot guarantee fitment for those markets.
ipd does not charge your credit card until the product actually ships from our warehouse.

I have a 1971 1800E. I ordered the radiator for the specified year of the vehicle. Unfortunately, the brackets on the radiator do not line up with the bolts that attach the radiator to the body. The radiator I ordered was 3/4 of an inch too small. IPD was great about taking back the radiator that did not fit, even after almost 2years. I found that I had to have my old radiator rebuilt, at a considerably greater cost. Thank you IPD. RL from FarmingtonCT

Do NOT be tempted to drill the holes into the frame to attach the plastic cowling (as the instructions suggest). The core is so close to the frame and so thin that you are certain to put holes into your new radiator core. Take it to a radiator shop and pay him to do it so he can repair it at his expense.
The radiator itself is good (but not equal to the original Volvo radiator). Mine came with a pinhole leak at the solder joint under the upper hose bib which had to be fixed at the radiator shop. Since I already had to have the core fixed after drilling into it, this was a minor incomvenience, but if I hadn't drilled into the core and then discovered the pin hole leak after installation, it would have been a major headache. The radiator shop said he could have recored and repaired my original Volvo radiator for about the same price as the replacement. Worth considering.
