Volvo C70 1998-2005 » Shocks & Struts (Koni FSD)

Koni’s new Frequency Selective Dampening (FSD) shock is the latest technology from the shock company’s line-up of high performance shocks and struts. Unlike a conventional shock, Koni FSDs can dynamically change the shock valving, depending on the frequency of the impact and its severity. The compromise between comfort and handling is nearly gone.

In addition to the standard valving on the shock, a parallel valve can open and close in response to suspension movement. This additional valve provides the needed adjustment to keep the suspension soft on uneven road surfaces and firm on even road surfaces. No cables, wires, or valves to turn, FSDs adjust as needed. FSDs are sold in sets of four in order to keep the vehicle’s shock balance even front to rear.

Combine with ipd safety anti-sway bars and you have the perfect balance between comfort and superior road holding.

This is the best shocks you can buy for your Volvo! unlike the bistein hd, the Koni fsd
is realy smooth riding on speed bumps. It makes them by far more confortable on
rough roads than the bilsteins hd. FSD is almost as firm as bilsteins in all other road
conditions. I can easily compare the bilstein hd to the Koni fsd because my brother
have bislstein hd on his 850-97 and i have fsd on my v70-98. The fsd is more
confortable than the original sachs-boge shocks, have a fabulous handling and is
really firm in low speed bumps, like the Bilstein installed on my brother 850. My 79
years old father really like the fsd smoother ride on his low millage s70 1999. Despite
is stock shocks (sachs-boge) was like new! I put them in the wastebasket !! Thanks
IPD for selling us two FSD kits in 2006!
