Volvo 940/960 » Bolts, Bearings & Rubber Mount
The most common driveline related problem with Volvos is acceleration shudder caused by a worn out rubber center mount. If you aren’t sure how old the center bearing is, you should replace it when installing the mount. Volvo recommends replacing the flange bolts every time they are disassembled. You must measure the driveline and check the head size of the flange bolts in order to get the correct parts. There is a LOT of variation from year to year, so measuring before ordering is the ONLY way to get the right stuff the first time. Please check fitment listed below to ensure products will fit your specific vehicle. Some products may include or exclude some model years or engine and transmission combinations.
