Air Filters (K&N) This filter has an international reputation for effective service under the most grueling conditions. Patented design utilizes surgical cotton in multi-layers, oiled and sandwiched between wire mesh. K&N filters not only clean the air, but also straighten the airflow. Your engine is provided with a less turbulent air stream than other popular filtering mediums (like paper and foam.) Installed well, seems to help with fuel economy. I definitely like the idea of being able to restore and reuse the air filter. The cleaning cycle is an easy over night job - clean in the evening, let air dry overnight and re-oil and install in the morning.

It a great upgrade for any Volvo 960, after some miles you'll notice the car "breaths" much better and revs up with less effort. If like in my case its a high mileage car with an old and worn air filter that didn't let the engine breath correctly, you will not only be dissapointed but will certainly notice the difference.
