I have a 1995 850 GLT. The original door stop limiter uses bolts while the replacement IPD piece has studs. I didn't see the difference until I had pulled the unit out and had to make a trip to the hardware store to get the 6mm nuts and washers.
It takes a little patience to rotate the piece around to get in through the openings. At first it seems as if it won't fit, but can be done.
The included instructions are helpful and correct, just make check to see if you have bolts or nuts holding the current piece to the door before you get started.
