Volvo 700 » Strut Gland Nut Tool
Did you know that even a small nick in the strut shaft can lead to rapid failure of the seals and is not covered under warranty? Use the right tool and prevent costly mistakes.
Replacing front struts just got a little easier with our new gland nut tool. This adjustable pin face spanner wrench has two locations for your rachet to allow for easy loosening and tightening of the strut housing gland nut. No more using a big pipe wrench or vise grips to damage the outside of the nut while struggling to loosen it. Made from hardened steel and finished in industrial black for long life. Please check fitment listed below to ensure products will fit your specific vehicle. Some products may include or exclude some model years or engine and transmission combinations.

T8600 Reviewed by Ryan Ridgely from Athens, OH
Handy for tightening gland nuts, but basically useless and downright dangerous for loosening tight ones. The "pins" are held in with set screws, and when force is applied, the pin hole distorts enough for the pins to fall out... Which is not fun if you're applying 100+ ft/lbs at the time.
You'll probably still need a pipe wrench, a hammer, and chisel.
