1.) I checked many web sites for price. Most were higher, yah there was one lower by a couple bucks. 2.) I've ordered from "ipd+" before, always quality products. 3.) So I ordered. 4.) Putting the new assembly in is the reverse of taking it out. To put the assembly in you line up the prongs on the new unit and push it in! It will snap into place. Okay, but you need to take the old assembly out first... this is what I did: My old assembly's lens cover fell off. So, without damaging any metal or plastic surround the assembly, I used pliers to pull it out, yeah at first I broke off a little plastic, but then I got a firm grip, yanked, and out it came. 5.) I unscrewed the bulb from the old unit and then screwed the bulb unit into the new unit. Pushed the new assembly in (making sure the prongs were lined up). And everything was fine. Oh by the way, when you pull out the old unit, you'll see a rubber thingee on the air escape hole, take that off, and put it on the new unit!

Seems to fit my wife's 740 wagon but does not appear to be an exactly perfect fit. Whether that is more a probem with the person doing the installation, myself :-), or the part itself is subject to further thought. However, the rubber gasket does appear to surround the edges of park lamp so hopefully no rain will get into it.
One other thing, the part came with no instructions. After shining the flash light about and looking at the part itself, I figured it out. Not hard once I figured it out but it would have been nice to have at least minimal instructions such as those found with IKEA self assembly iitems. Not sure if the OEM part for about $45 more would have been better.

Excellent fit and finish. Fit in with a simple snap. The bulb sockets snapped right in.
