I just installed a black leather wheelskin on my 83 240 turbo, and while the product is fantastic, be prepared to spend double the time indicated by the instructions, unless you are familiar with upholstering. From start to finish, the installation took me approximately 2hrs, being careful and making sure to keep the stitching tight. The waxed string provided likes to tangle with itself, so it takes some concentration to get it right.
The end result is night and day, vastly improving the feel of the old non-leather turbo wheel. It looks and feels great, almost factory. The fit is exceptional. Great product!

I just bought a car that the original owner had a wheelskin put on by iPd in 1997 - 11 years and 160,000 miles later, and it's only just started to wear a little on the top - not bad! Also really updates the look of the car, and has a fantastic feel. I'll definitely be replacing it soon, and it'll be with another wheelskin for sure!

These Wheelskins are one of the few examples of an occasion where a product not only met, but exceeded my expectations, and reinforces IPD's reputation for sourcing and offering top quality aftermarket parts for enthusiasts! I was impressed with the quality of the leather which was absolutely premium as claimed, plus quality construction, and perfect fit is assured as per the clear fitting instructions. A couple of words of advice to help save you some grief: 1) Follow the instuctions to the letter and don't be afraid to pull Very Tightly on the twine as recommended. Sewing the cover with lesser tension will result in the edges of the leather not meeting properly around the wheel once the job is finished and the materials "relax", resulting in a less than professional result. You will only have sewn too tightly if the leather puckers where it meets. 2) Don't be tempted to deviate from the instructions and stitch diagonally for a sportier look. This can cause the cover to twist such that things won't meet up properly at the end once you have worked your way around, and you will have to start again! All in all, a great product for a great price, which gives a great lift to the car in look and feel.
