Power Antenna Mast Tired of not even getting the local AM stations because your electric antenna is broken off? Or does the risk of breaking off the non-retracting full, extended mast keep you from parking in the garage or going through the car wash?
If the motor for the antenna is working but the mast does not move, usually the nylon chain is broken inside the motor. It can be removed and replaced with a new mast. Instructions are included.
Please check fitment listed below to ensure products will fit your specific vehicle. Some products may include or exclude some model years or engine and transmission combinations. Easy installation, except if you have to retrieve the broken plastic piece that remains in the motor assembly. But still not a lot of work. Quality? Looks factory... goes up and down like factory antenna... but it made of a slightly thinner metal then factory (but when you're sitting in your car listening to the radio you're not got to notice the thinner metal). I recommend this replacement antenna mast.

This antenna fit and works perfectly. I spent 45 minutes total, including having to take the motor assembly out of the trunk. I had to open it up to get the broken section out of the "spool'". I did this solo without any problems, no need for a second person to turn the radio on and off. I found it helpful to read several other sites' descriptions of the process, but once you see the new antenna the whole thing will make a lot more sense. Don't wimp out - everyone sees that broken antenna and knows you are procrastinating!

I replaced dead antenna with this kit two years ago and it has done great. Cheap and tough with no problems and easy to install.

This antenna is not the usual quality I have come to expect from IPD. The cost however is comparitively minimal to a new complete antenna. Installation is simple and takes only a few minutes.
ipd customer service response: There are very few brand options available for these antenna masts, i would not consider any of them of high quality. That being said, these masts typically work fine and we get VERY few returned because of defects or failures. We price them appropriately.

Good quality inexpensive replacement, also easy to install with included instructions; my radio picks up most stations now. I also had some rust issues with this antenna only a few months after install.
ipd customer service response: Is the mast itself rusting or is it picking up rusty material from inside the motor assembly?

Mine showed rust just several days after the easy installation. I recommend treating it with an anti-corrosion product after installing.
ipd customer service response: In many cases, there is rust inside the antenna motor assembly and it will get all over the new antenna mast. The mast itself should not rust. We've sold hundreds of these masts and this is the first time we've heard this complaint.
