700 Front Calipers
Consult these front brake caliper photos above to eliminate any confusion on 700 series models.

Externally, the calipers using #D508 and #D1198 pads look similar. To discern the difference, you must visually inspect the spring style on the pads. Once you remove the wheel, there is a small opening in the caliper where you can see the springs.

PBR® Deluxe Organic Brake Pads

If you have primarily used Volvo factory brake pads on your Volvos, then you will really appreciate the PBR Deluxe brake pads. They are formulated from the latest organic, asbestos-free materials and provide significantly reduced dusting on the wheels and very little, if any, squealing compared to the factory pads. PBR® Metal Master Semi-Metallic Pads

Metal Master semi-metallic brake pads excel in high-performance, high-speed, and high-heat circumstances (including stop-and-go traffic). They have a much higher resistance to heat than standard organic pads and offer a more aggressive bite and firmer brake feel. Plus, depending on your driving style, the life expectancy of Metal Master pads exceeds other conventional semi-metallic pads by 200 to 500 percent. Similar to the Deluxe pads, brake dust is significantly reduced over other semi-metallic pads. Containing no asbestos, Metal Master pads provide excellent stopping power under all driving conditions, wet or dry. Good for the occasional autocross or track day, but not a true race pad. 40,000 mile warranty.

PBR® Ultimate Ceramic Pads

Ultimate brake pads feature a special Kevlar and ceramic-strengthened formula with a high co-efficient of friction and excellent high-temperature wear and fade resistance. Designed for ultra-high performance driving and hard-braking applications, PBR Ultimate pad users will benefit from extreme stopping power and high resistance to brake-fade at high temperatures. That’s because the decrease in friction over repeated heavy-duty stops, as the temperature increases, is minimal. PBR Ultimate pads boast a maximum continuous working temperature of 550°C (1022°F degrees). Consistent throughout its operating temperature range, you’ll get dependable, predictable stops time after time, while maintaining solid pedal feel.

Greatly exceeds my expectations of a ceramic pad under daily driving conditions. Quiet and performes every bit as good as my OEM pads at low speeds aside from the better initial bite I've noticed. I've also noticed less brake dust collecting on my wheels than my OEM pads. They also perform as expected at higher speeds and higher temperatures. Very impressed and I'll be purchasing rear pads to match!
