Extra Long Needle Nose Pliers Ever wish you had an extra joint in your arm between your wrist and elbow? That would make jobs like installing vacuum lines, flame traps, connecting coolant temp sensor wires, and heater hose clamps much easier. Well until you get that extra joint installed, we’ve got the next best thing. These extra long (11") pliers allow you access to the depths of your engine compartment that might have previously required the removal of major components like the intake or exhaust manifold. We couldn’t believe how easy it makes some jobs go that we used to consider "nightmare jobs".
The straight versions will work in most applications, but we have found the offset ones to be particularly useful for removing stubborn heater hoses and flame trap hoses, etc. Please check fitment listed below to ensure products will fit your specific vehicle. Some products may include or exclude some model years or engine and transmission combinations. The products listed on our website are for Volvos sold in the North American market. Many of the parts are exactly the same as those used in other markets, however we cannot guarantee fitment for those markets.

The second best best IPD tool buys I have made. I have fished out, retrieved and installed more "stuff" than I can count in strange places with these - the perfect companion to my offset pair. Again - the pivot point is in the right position to let me get in tight places and still grab things without hitting the sides of whatever it is in, going in or has a lip I need to get around. As are the ones on the offset version, the length is great for getting at the deeper items, the grips are solid with no slipping even with a finger tip grip. The serations are not too sharp or dull, they are just right to grab but not bite into softer items or slip on more solid ones
The only tool I use more than this one is it's companion, the offset offset version.

One of the best IPD tool buys I have made. I have fished out, retrieved and installed more "stuff" than I can count with these. The pivot point is in the right position to let me get in tight places and still grab things without hitting the sides of whatever it is i n or going in. Plus the length is great for getting at the deeper items. The grips are solid with no slipping even with a finger tip grip. the serations are not too sharp or dull, they are just right to grab but not bite into softer items or slip on more solid one. .
The only tool I use more than this one is it's companion, the 45 degree offset version.
