Air Filters (K&N) This filter has an international reputation for effective service under the most grueling conditions. Patented design utilizes surgical cotton in multi-layers, oiled and sandwiched between wire mesh. K&N filters not only clean the air, but also straighten the airflow. Your engine is provided with a less turbulent air stream than other popular filtering mediums (like paper and foam.) Under normal conditions cleaning and re-oiling is not required until 50,000 miles (without loss of efficiency!). Please check fitment listed below to ensure products will fit your specific vehicle. Some products may include or exclude some model years or engine and transmission combinations. The products listed on our website are for Volvos sold in the North American market. The difference between using these and any other filter is night and day. Especially on a twin carb setup, you will save enough money on gas to make up for the high cost very quickly. Speaking of very quickly, the throttle responce and power was noticibly increased. Also, keep in mind you'll never have to throw them in the landfill, and you'll only have to service them (a wash and re-oil) every 50K miles. There is really no reason to get anything else.
