Volvo 200 » Upper Strut Mount
If you hear creaking, groaning or knocking from the front of your Volvo when turning sharp, it could mean the upper strut mounts and bearings are in need of replacement.
The strut assembly should turn lock to lock without binding or kinking when the front end is properly supported. If it doesn't, you may want to have it inspected and consider replacement for safe operation. Also look for evidence of rubber separating from bearing.
