Volvo 200 » Strut Braces 242GT Style
 The 1978 240GT came stock with a simple, but effective strut brace. The brace ties the upper strut tower to the firewall, which significantly improved the chassis stiffness during hard cornering, and on bumpy road surfaces. A stiff chassis helps keep the wheels firmly planted on the ground allowing the suspension to function properly and also helps to maintain proper wheel alignment during high cornering loads.
We have reproduced the braces with durable zinc chromate plating and include the hardware needed to make installation a snap. The threaded mounting holes are already in the firewall, the opposite end fastens to the rearmost strut bolt that protrudes up through the strut tower, installation takes about 30 minutes with a 13mm wrench and included instructions.

When used with the lower braces,they provide sharper steering feel.More accurate overall and less play.Highly recommended!!

These should have been installed on ever 240 from the factory. 15 minutes to install. Very worth the price. :)
