Most stock shocks just don't have enough damping on compression and rebound. The result is mushy transitional performance, brake dive, choppy feel on expansion joint and in some cases, suspension crash through.
Explaining how Bilstein HDs improve ride with increased damping is difficult. How can the ride be smoother and feel plusher if the shock is stiffer? A big part of improvement comes from Bilstein's patented digressive valving system that helps soak up initial shock loads before full damping is achieved. The Bilstein touring front struts were simple to install, and nice that they came with a new cartridge nut, (better design than OEM nut), just follow the directions in your Bentley or Haynes manual. The result is great, a firm but smooth ride, good results at a very economical price. I have been buying from IPD since the company first started in business, and I am totally satisfied with the customer service, and the overall company attitude of doing things the right way, the first time, and offering common sense products that really work! Keep doing business this way, and you can't go wrong. The only other service I think you should offer is putting on seminars to teach others how to run a successful business. P.S. Please keep offering products for 240's. I plan to drive mine forever. Volvo 240's RULE!!

I just recently installed the front shocks from Bilstein (Touring Class) and noticed a very noticeable difference from the stock shocks. They are relatively inexpensive, very reasonably priced, kind of a pain to install, but well worth the effort. Definitely a good buy for someone wanting a more stable ride than with the stock struts.

I have both Bilstein Shocks and struts on my 92 245. They are great with the sway bars and iPd springs. Soon, when I switch out the overload springs with the TME lowering springs, it will all go great with the +T that i will be doing to my B230F soon.

I recently purchased a set of (front and rear) Bilstein HD's for my 240 sedan and they really do increase performance. After they were installed, most of the body roll and sagging were completely gone. Combined with the iPd sport springs, i can actually carry passengers without the car dropping to the point where the mudflaps would scrape on speed bumps. Great buy, if a little expensive. Thanks IPD

I recently purchases a set of (Front and rear) Bilstein HD's for my 240 sedan and, as the description above says, they make a huge performance difference over the original McPhersons that were on the car. They removed almost %90 of the body roll i was dealing with on cornering, and do provide much more precise control. Thanks IPD!
