Turbo Performance Camshaft

The ipd turbo performance cam provides increased power and torque on stock and modified B21FT, B23FT and B230FT engines. Compared to the stock T grind cam which starts losing power after 5000 rpm, the ipd turbo cam keeps on pulling up through the power band. We have seen 0-60mph times on a mildly modified 240 Turbo change from around 10 seconds to just over 7 seconds and 1/4 mile times have dropped nearly 3 seconds. Expect to see an average of 15-25HP increase on intercooled cars depending on modifications.

• Cam intake lift .466" (11.95mm) intake duration 256°

• Cam Exhaust lift .466" (11.95mm) exhaust duration 256°

• Overlap – 32°

Easy install takes 2-3 hours. You may need to adjust the valve shims so it is a good idea to have a shim kit and tool available. Also a good time to install a new timing belt and seals.

I have been running this turbo performance cam for 3 years on my 740. Worth every penny. I did loose a noticeable amount of torque off idle and at low rpm's, but I gained most of it back by advancing the cam timing 4 degrees. This cam changed the whole character of the engine, it loves to rev now, the midrange and top end power increase is significant, and the exhaust note sounds more aggressive. The idle is slightly lumpy, and I did loose about 8hg of engine vacuum, but it is nothing to complain about. Also this cam had no negative effect on emissions. It has passed New York State Dyno emissions 3 years in a row. I would highly recommend this cam.

This is a real 'performance' cam for the Turbo B21/23/B230 ET/FT. I used it with an
aftermarket Haltech computer. Significant increase in hp over standard, its a very
willing cam that likes to go. Revs out 'fast' especially from 4,500 to 6000 rpm. Its
even happy at 1,500 rpm in the traffic. Best gains would be with larger exhaust pipe
diameter and bigger intercooler, 12 psi boost.

I replaced my stock T cam with the IPD turbo performance cam and all I can say is WOW. Instead of having its peak power at 2500rpm and then dropping off, the car has a more predictable acceleration pattern with a constant increase of power. It pulls through the RPM range and you feel it kick in hard from 3000 to 5000RPM. My zero to 60mph distance has been cut in half and the cam works wonders on the highway when you need all that top end. The car Idles just fine after it warms up and the low end, though not as good as the stock T cam, is nothing big to complain about.
I'm very impressed and satisfied with the cam.

I had the VX cam installed before ipd had the turbo cam. It sure added gobs of mid and top end power. When the turbo spools up past 3000 rpm, the engine makes enough torque to smoke my sticky 245 wide ZR tires in 1st and 2nd gear. Makes idle a little rough and absolutely killed the low end though, especially on hot summer days. Advancing the cam timing for hot days help a little. I strongly recommend getting the adjustable cam gear along with the new cam. I love this cam!
