I just installed the sway bars in my 93 240 wagon and the cornering is so much better. The attitude is flat no mater how sharp the turn is,they were worth the wait! I also installed the sport exhaust at the same time and it has really made a big difference. Thank you IPD, I wished you had a store on Long Island so I could save on the shipping!

A very discernible difference. No question about that. Definitely improves the species. However...there is a major financial downside. Now that the sway bars are on...it highlights the other weaknesses of my car. I can see, to do this correctly, it is going to require more cubic dollars. Sport springs. Bilsteins. New rubber. Rebushing the rear end. Also, since I have added the bars I have had to spend more at the pump as my mileage has dropped. I find myself driving harder thorugh the twists and turns. Darn it all....opened a Pandora's box.....

I got the 25/22 mm anti-sway bars in 2005, great upgrade. Install was easy. Stability improved and cornering much flatter. no issue with losing traction in tight corners. I had to avoid a tourist who had parked his car on a small mountain road, all went well, very predictable roadholding. I entered a Auto-X event with my 240 and i was very happy with the roadholding. No problems in the rain or on bad road surfaces either. You can feel when it starts to lose grip very easily, no surprises. Remember that these anti-swaybars are no substitute for worn shocks or other worn out suspension parts. In the beginning when i installed the bars i had a few worn out ball joints, with that stuff replaced the car is more predictable.
This product is well worth the price!

highly not recommended. i can think of a couple bad things to say about running these bars. before the install: don't bother measuring the surface finish in microinches -- the numbers are just too big during install: to align the crossmember bushings and bolt them to the frame i had to put a LOT of strain on the bushings. the polyurethane ended up fracturing. actually running on the car: the only good point i can think of is that roll bounceback was mostly eliminated (nice if you have a weak neck or don't invest in a good seat and head restraint). as for the bad points, you can kiss front end traction goodbye in the rain. in fact front end traction is only tolerable on flat highway surfaces. on any real road i have to take it slow. inside wheel spin comes on the scene too. so ya i guess these are a good upgrade if you don't like traction. i cant say i regret buying them cuz i got to at least experience them, but i would never do it again. they've been under my bed for the last few years. stock Volvo bars are much more fun.

Great handling upgrade, fully recommend, but for most, even enthusiasts, the 25mm rear bar is too big! With 15" Wheels, Bilstein HDs and stock springs, I pick up the inside rear wheel in high speed corners, not good with an open differential, sends the wheel that's in the air spinning wildly, so when it gets put back on the ground, it jolts the car's balance. *This is in an autocross situation, on the street, the big bar is great*
Cornering feels flatter, bumps are felt a bit more because some of the independence is lost, but overall the car feels much better.
5 stars for street and drifting, but fewer for autocross

Best thing you can do for your brick! These especially aided in my lowered 242turbo, if your car is lowered, i would HIGHLY recommend getting the 25mm(1in) sway bars and bilstein struts. Night and day handling and much more confidence. GET UM!!!!

I installed the 25mm front and rear bars "bigger is better" along with Koni yellow sport struts and shocks. This combination turned out to be the ultimate handling package for my non-turbo 1987 240DL. Literally, a real life saver on three different road trips.
