Economy Replacement Catalytic Converters
ipd does not currently have any catalytic converters that are legal for sale to California addresses.
A catalytic converter converts harmful emissions of carbon monoxide, hydrocarbons and oxides of nitrogen into harmless carbon dioxide and water vapor. A cat that is not doing its job will likely fail today’s tougher emissions tests.
You know it is time to replace your converter when: the shell is rusted or broken , there is a rattle in the converter body, or you have found pieces of substrate (honeycomb) in the muffler or tail pipe.
These cats are an excellent value compared to any other cat we have seen and they have a 2 year, 25,000 mile warranty.
Volvo used different length cats on the early 240 models and may cross over model years so you need to measure the cat on these models to assure a good fit.
