 Head pipes tend to be long lived due to the high temperature of exhaust gases passing through. This prevents moisture collecting in the pipe and rusting it from the inside-out. As years pass, and especially where road 'salt' is used, head pipes will eventually fail. We offer good quality, reasonably priced head pipes to restore your Volvo to its quiet form. 1989-91 models require chassis number (last 6 digits of the VIN) to correctly identify the replacement pipe. great direct fit took 1/2 hour to remove and replace the old paper thin road rash'd header that my mufflerman laughed at me when i asked him to fix a leak .The 1988 245 sound's great thank you IPD.
