Volvo 200 » Engine Wiring Harness

If you have a Volvo that was made between 1981 and 1989, and the main engine harness has not been updated, you should inspect the wiring harness at every oil change for signs of failing insulation. Several problems can occur, often intermittently, such as mixed signals to the instrument cluster, interruption of primary fuel injection functions, charging system failure, etc.

Fitment:Fits: 240 Turbos B21FT 1981-85 ONLY. The engine wiring harness does NOT include the harness for the ignition system. It is a separate part and should be available from the dealership.


The plug for the idle motor does not fit perfectly. The clip needs to be flipped to the other side of the plug, and part of the plastic filed down so that the plug seats fully onto the connector.

Fitment:Fits: 240 Non-turbo with B23 1983-84 only. The engine wiring harness does NOT include the harness for the ignition system. It is a separate part for the B23F with the 8-pin bullet connector ignition module mounted on the washer fluid reservoir. The part number for this harness is 3515723 and should be available from the dealership.
