Having electrical problems with tailgate accessories? Maybe your hinges have become worn, severing wires. Even if the hinges look okay, normal use can cause the wires that run through the tailgate hinges to break and fail.
If the rear wiper, defrost, power lock or license plate light have stopped working on your wagon, a new replacement harness could be the answer.
*** If you have an 1984-1985 model, you'll need to check the wiring harness under the headliner to be sure you order the correct part. 1984-1985 models are the "cross-over" years and must be inspected before ordering. If your car has all flat spade-style connectors, order the early harnesses. Most 1985-newer model use the "bullet" type connectors found on the later harnesses. Simply pull down the rear corner edge of the headliner to get a look at your tailgate wiring connectors.
