Headlight Switches & Flashers

Headlight Switches & Flashers
Faulty headlamp switches and flasher relays are usually easy to spot by their common failure modes. Headlight switch problems include intermittent temporary loss of headlamps or difficulty in switching off and on. The flashers will usually stop flashing and the turn signal indicator in the instrument cluster says illuminated.

Please check fitment listed below to ensure products will fit your specific vehicle. Some products may include or exclude some model years or engine and transmission combinations. The products listed on our website are for Volvos sold in the North American market. Many of the parts are exactly the same as those used in other markets, however we cannot guarantee fitment for those markets.

The replacement part works well - an exact copy of my original. My only problem was that the switch wasn't the problem! Be sure to check if your headlight relay is burnt out. In an '86 240 it is located in the wiring bundle above the brake pedal.
