Volvo 200 » Stainless Steel Brake Lines

Now you can experience the same rock-solid brake pedal feel that professional racers rely on. Standard brake hoses will experience some swelling under pressure, which results in a soft or spongy feeling in the brake pedal that increases as the car ages.

Teflon/Kevlar stainless-steel braided lines are comparable to those used on motorsports applications. Lines and fittings are engineered for precise fit. Lines come ready to install with no modifications necessary. Kits replace the original front and rear flexible brake lines. DOT approved.

Improve Brake Pedal Feel with ipd High Performance Stainless Steel Braided Brake Line Kits

Our braided brake line kits improve brake system feel and response in two ways. First, the material is much stronger than that found in the stock rubber lines, so swelling and expansion is virtually non-existent. Second, the volume of the each line is significantly reduced, so less pedal movement is required to activate and modulate the brakes, which equates to a more responsive and controllable feel.

ipd suggests professional installation. Brake system will need to be bled after installation.

Need a single replacement? Call! We’ve got ‘em, and they usually cost less than the stock rubber lines.

Installed these on my 1993 240. Great product, but could not really feel a difference at the pedal. Obviously, stainless steel brake lines are better than rubber brake lines, so it's great to have these on the car and add an upgrade over the stock parts, but don't expect a huge difference in pedal feel and stopping distance. If you are shopping for this product, you probably know that 240's have great brakes in stock form anyway, but go ahead and add this upgrade, it's worth it.

By the way, 240's with ABS use this set of three brake lines. Make sure you get the right lines, depending on the year of your car and ABS vs. non-ABS.
