Brake Caliper Hardware Kits 200 Brake Hardware Kits for 200 Series. 200 series Volvos have a history of front brake problems. Part of the weakness of these systems relates to the slider style calipers used on these cars. The rubber boots on these sliders will sometimes tear or degrade from heat and allow lubricated parts to be exposed to the elements. Once the grease washes out it’s only a matter of time before the calipers begin to malfunction. Binding hardware, dragging brake pads and rotor warping are only some of the potential outcomes. The 200 series doesn’t have as many problems but if you need these parts, we’ve got them. These kits do not include parts for caliper pistons. Please check fitment listed below to ensure products will fit your specific vehicle. Some products may include or exclude some model years or engine and transmission combinations. The products listed on our website are for Volvos sold in the North American market. Many of the parts are exactly the same as those used in other markets, however we cannot guarantee fitment for those markets.

After installing these smeared with plenty of antiseize--this is the first time my 240 has had no squeaking brakes. I've tried all types of pads and I believe that new hardware is a key! The organic pbr's and new hardware are all i will use from here on out for every brake change!
