If you experience the erratic idle speed symptom, (you blip the throttle once and you get a fast idle, you blip it again and you get a normal idle), you most likely have worn throttle shafts. Replacing the shafts only can help, but most times the body is also worn and now needs to be honed out and bushings pressed in.
Our full rebuild kits include new throttle shafts and bushings. A competent machinist should perform the replacement of these components.
