Sometimes a complete engine rebuild is not necessary. After all, Volvo uses high quality cast iron in their blocks and the cylinders don't wear as much as many other cars do.
If your Volvo's engine is tired but basically sound, re-ringing could be all you need to restore nearly-new performance. Our re-ringing kits contain Deves piston rings (quick seating, specially designed for this purpose), complete gasket sets, rod bearings, and an ipd oil pump reinforcing ring. You may want to have the valves ground for optimal performance. Kits listed are for standard size piston rings and bearings. Oversize (rings) or undersize (bearings) are available too.
