Overload CoilsAfter decades of use, the rear springs (even on Volvos) usually begin to sag. If you fill the rear with cargo, it gets even worse. It looks funny, makes the car drive funny and changes the geometry of the rear suspension, which in turn puts additional stress on the shocks and bushings. Overload springs offer a 20% stiffer spring rate over stock, returning your Volvo to its proper ride height and will increase carrying capacity overall. Prices are per pair. Please check fitment listed below to ensure products will fit your specific vehicle. Some products may include or exclude some model years or engine and transmission combinations. The products listed on our website are for Volvos sold in the North American market. Many of the parts are exactly the same as those used in other markets, however we cannot guarantee fitment for those markets.

I just installed these on my '67 wagon. I was concerned the rear of the car would sit too high with "overload" springs. Not so, the body now sits level and the ride height is consistent front to rear.

$260 for a spring? what makes it so special?
ipd customer service response: $260 is for a rear pair of overload coils. The springs have 200-300 pounds more load capacity than the stock springs.
