Radiator Caps When replacing a faulty radiator keep in mind the stress put on the other heating/cooling components. The radiator caps have a pressure rating and it is important to match the correct cap with the radiator. Please check fitment listed below to ensure products will fit your specific vehicle. Some products may include or exclude some model years or engine and transmission combinations. The products listed on our website are for Volvos sold in the North American market. Many of the parts are exactly the same as those used in other markets, however we cannot guarantee fitment for those markets.

These low-pressure caps are hard to find, and sometimes you may come upon an old 1800 or Amazon that has been (wrongly) fitted with a modern 15lb cap - this can cause the cooling system to develop overly-high pressure...not good. It's great IPD stocks stuff like this cap...a complete odd-ball part that only a few thousand people worldwide would even need. As for the cap itself - what can you say? It fits and it works. Note that some older caps have the pressure indicated in kilopascals (kPA) rather than psi. 1 PSI = approximately 6.98 kPA
