Engine Bearings & Bushings Rod and main bearings are replaceable wear items inside your motor. The clearances involved are very small and precise and it’s best to have them inspected by a machine shop whenever disassembled. They should always be replaced when rebuilding, which may require machining and a new size of bearing. Rod knock is due to excess clearance in the rod bearings and machine work is usually required for a proper repair. Our cam bearings are "pre-fit" style and do not require line boring after installation, a major cost and time savings!
Late model bearings are listed here due to the fact that later engine blocks are often swapped into earlier models. Please check fitment listed below to ensure products will fit your specific vehicle. Some products may include or exclude some model years or engine and transmission combinations. The products listed on our website are for Volvos sold in the North American market. Many of the parts are exactly the same as those used in other markets, however we cannot guarantee fitment for those markets.
