POR-15 rust preventative coating stops rust permanently. Unlike ordinary paints POR-15 is designed to be coated right onto rusty surfaces, leaving a beautiful, rock-hard finish that won't crack, chip or peel.
When left exposed to sunlight regular POR-15 will dull if not painted over. Use their Chassis Coat black version for repairing exposed areas where you want a nice gloss black finish.
