Forever Black

Forever Black
Here's the quick and permanent fix for faded, dull, lifeless exterior trim. Forever Black permanently dyes all black plastic bumpers, wheel well moldings, mud guards, and trim with the chemicals the manufacturers use.

Protects your plastic, vinyl and trim against UV damage, too. One kit covers trim on about four Volvos. Comes with concentrated plastic cleaner (which will remove silicones) and a time-saving foam tipped applicator bottle for easy use. Dries in 15-20 minutes.

Use forever Black to cover and restore heavily oxidized bumpers and trim.

Please check fitment listed below to ensure products will fit your specific vehicle. Some products may include or exclude some model years or engine and transmission combinations. The products listed on our website are for Volvos sold in the North American market. Many of the parts are exactly the same as those used in other markets, however we cannot guarantee fitment for those markets.

To be honest, all the reviews are correct!!
Forever black works! Dye your trim black, easy to apply, everything included in the kit
you need, works quickly, lasts, everything you could really want it does exactly as you
would expect.

I spent hours sanding and painting my trim, for it to only last about a month till I had to
remove, clean, and repaint. forever black has none of these issues! pull the trigger
and buy it!

This stuff is amazing. I have a silver XC with the blueish trim all around. It was severely faded and I would bring it back to life every 3-4 months with 303 Protectant which made it look great but was not long lasting. After reading the message boards I decided to test two products on my own car - Kiwi Shoe Dye and Forever Black. I did a small 2x2 section on the front bumper with Forever black and another small 2x2 section on the rear with Kiwi at the beginning of summer to see how long each would hold up to the rigors of the South Carolina sun. Both held up great however Forever Black is a Winner in two areas - ease of application and gloss. The Kiwi polish was foamier and left a high gloss shine that eventually dulled but was not as attractive as Forever Black. Forever Black went on smooth with very little bubbling and left a great satin black finish that really complimented the appearance of the care. Remember Silver with black interior and now black trim. Looks really nice and aggressive when I finished entire car. Rain, heat , cold and sun have not affected product at all. I did need to put on two coats for a nice smooth finish. Word of warning when wet the Forever black looks streaky and freaked me out. But once it soaked into the plastic and dried it looked fantastic.

I've used this product on two 240s and a 740. One bottle can be stretched far but I had to do two coats to get a smooth finish. Also wipe on slowly to avoid air bubbles or foaming. Much better and deeper look than paint.

I was recommended this product by Lucky after asking about car care products for my 850 Turbo. He highly recommended it and so far, I am very impressed with the results!

Application was a breeze, but there are a few things keep in mind in addition to the directions on the bottle. First, tape off the application area and clean it thoroughly with the enclosed cleaner. Let everything dry.

Time for application! I would strongly suggest having a small foam brush (for hard-to-reach places), and a toothbrush to help smooth out the dye. Since it significantly darkens your (faded) trim, getting a smooth coat will help your end result look real sharp.

Application time: 1.5 Hours including prep.

Results: Amazing, very worth while. I'd second Lucky's suggestion of applying two coats to anyone with significantly faded trim! As always, your prep time will yield huge dividends after you're done with the project.
